Many Hörmann steel and aluminum doors can be ordered in almost any color through the Galaxy Paint System, a factory finish instead of field paint.
Pro Safe, Therma Safe, Style Safe, Deco Safe and Classic Safe doors have pinch-resistant section joints and hinges, a good choice with kids around.
Clear, satin etch, obscure, privacy and tinted glass on most doors, and insulated glass on many. The window choices are in each brochure.
Decorative handles and hinges for carriage house doors, and black or white painted track and hardware on many models for a cleaner garage.
Choose a polyurethane door such as the Clima Tech 4400 or the carriage-style Clima Elite 5800, both with an R-15.7 thermal rating. They keep the garage and the rooms next to it cooler, and they are quieter.
Aluminum does not rust, so the Infinity Classic 7800, Modern Classic 7500, Luma Classic 7400 and Classic Safe 7200 are good choices by the ocean. Any door lasts longer with good seals and a yearly tune-up. Read our guide to preventing garage door rust.
Style Safe 5200, Therma Style 5500 and Clima Elite 5800 give you the carriage house look many Bay Area neighborhoods and HOAs favor. We can provide the door specs for your HOA’s approval.
The Heritage Classic C and E Series are handcrafted in cedar and other fine woods, and the Builder Collection adds a polystyrene core. Wood needs regular sealing or paint, especially near the coast.
The Modern Tech 3550 gives you smooth steel in Black Satin, Dark Bronze or Graphite, and Luma Classic 7400 suits clean modern lines. For low ceilings we can pair them with a wall-mount opener.
